Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Statmint website or enrolling in any program. By accessing our website or registering for a program, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Statmint", "we", "us", "our" refers to the educational business operating under the name Statmint, located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
- "User", "you", "learner" refers to any person who accesses our website or enrols in a program.
- "Service" refers to our website and all educational programs, materials, and content we provide.
- "Program" refers to any of our structured financial statement literacy offerings.
- "Content" refers to all materials, documents, worksheets, recordings, and written material made available through our programs.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or enrolling in a program, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You accept these Terms and Conditions in full
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
3. Description of Services
Statmint provides educational programs focused on financial statement literacy. All programs are designed as general learning tools for understanding how financial documents are structured and what they typically show. Our services are:
- Educational in nature — not regulated financial advice
- Intended to help learners read and interpret financial statements in general terms
- Not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, or financial advisory services
Program availability is subject to cohort scheduling. We reserve the right to amend program schedules with reasonable notice.
4. User Accounts
Some programs may require creation of a learner account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. Sharing access credentials with others is not permitted. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
5. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information at registration and enrolment
- Use program materials for personal educational purposes only
- Not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise materials without written permission
- Not misrepresent content as professional financial advice when sharing it with others
- Engage respectfully in group or community settings within programs
6. Intellectual Property
All program materials, annotated documents, worksheets, reference content, and written materials are the intellectual property of Statmint. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use materials for personal educational purposes during the program period.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from program content without prior written consent from Statmint.
7. Payment Terms
Program fees are payable in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) as stated at the time of enrolment:
- Understanding Statements Starter Course: RM 530
- Reading the Numbers Workshop: RM 1,540
- Comprehensive Financial Statement Literacy Program: RM 3,050
Fees are due in full at the time of enrolment unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the point of enrolment. All fees are inclusive of applicable materials.
8. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refund requests received more than 7 days before a program's start date will be processed in full. Requests received within 7 days of the start date, or after a program has commenced, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. No refunds will be issued after the program has been completed. 9. Educational Disclaimer
All content provided by Statmint is strictly educational and for general informational purposes only. Nothing in any Statmint program or material constitutes financial advice, investment advice, accounting advice, or any other form of regulated professional advice. Learners are encouraged to consult a qualified professional for matters relating to their own financial decisions.
10. Disclaimers
Our services are provided on an "as is" basis. We make no representations about specific outcomes from completing a program. Educational content reflects general explanations of financial statements and may not account for every variation in reporting format or jurisdiction-specific accounting treatment.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Statmint will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of our services or reliance on program content. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services will not exceed the fee paid for the specific program in question.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Statmint harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal costs) arising from your violation of these terms, misuse of program materials, or misrepresentation of our content to third parties.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to a program where a learner has violated these terms. In cases of termination for breach, no refund will be issued. You may discontinue use of our services at any time. Outstanding fees remain payable on termination.
14. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage contact via [email protected] to attempt informal resolution before any formal proceedings. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the courts of Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
15. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the full agreement between you and Statmint regarding use of our services.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the website or directly to enrolled learners. Continued use of our services after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
